He’s got flare and lots of, at times too much, energy. From the beginning, it is evident that Carter is not just your garden variety cop. It is riddled with unnecessary foul language, uncomfortable jokes about everything from the gay lifestyle to the Viet Nam war, and lots and lots of half-naked women.Ĭhinese Chief Inspector Lee ( Jackie Chan) is escorting and protecting the highly respected Ambassador Hann to the World Criminal Courts, while James Carter (Chris Tucker) goes about his duties as a traffic cop.
On the other hand, if you are looking for an action flick you can take the whole family to, forget this one. If you can ignore Tucker’s in your face humor, the ending is thrilling and well worth the price of admission. If you love Jackie Chan, go for just that one thing. Yet, it delivered some great stunts in the end. Unfortunately, this “Rush Hour” was not as much about the thrilling stunts that Jackie Chan is known for, as it was about promoting the comedy aspect. “Rush Hour 3,” was not, in my opinion, as tight a comedy as the first two, as Chris Tucker tried persistently to steal the show, and pretty much succeeded. It’ll keep you in good humor and draw you into the action.What do you get when you put Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, crazy stunts and snappy dialogue together? Why you get yet another “Rush Hour” movie, of course! Especially if you’ve already seen the first two Rush Hour 3 shouldn’t be a disappointment. So, I’m not kidding when I say that Rush Hour 3 is a must see. Carter even confesses that he now has two black belts in karate and claims to be half-Chinese because of it. The angles and shots capture the essence of a real thrill ride that made me go “whoa!” every time.Ĭhan once again does his übercool trademark stunts that make people gawk in amazement while Tucker tries to perform his stunts so that he seems to be as cool as Chan. Ratner had to outdo the first two Rush Hour movies by adding with new ideas.

They eventually end up in Paris, where parts of the movie were filmed, and the scenes following their arrival are full of surprising twists and introductions to new characters such as new ally Genevieve (Noemie Lenior).īrett Ratner, who directed the first two Rush Hour movies, does an excellent job with this movie, keeping it real and fresh. The duo was back in action and fighting just like old times! With Chan’s awesome stunts and Tucker’s new karate moves, they manage to fight off all the bad guys and finish with a synchronized victory dance to celebrate. In this installment of the trilogy, a Chinese ambassador comes to the United States to attend an international conference under the protection of Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan). I was sucked into the action scenes and could feel the brotherly bonding between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker and it was even funnier than the first two. Rush Hour 3 proved to be just as action-packed, hilarious and thrilling as the first two Rush Hour movies.
